Story 45: "The Right to Remain Silent" by Suture

I have been fascinated, reading through all of the different future lives imagined for our heros on the run. So many possibilities, all from the same starting elements. This post "The Truth" story seems like one that could easily have happened. Here is what the author has to say:

RATING: R
SPOILERS: No specific spoilers.
SUMMARY: A snapshot of what early to middle period
Mulder and Scully on the lam may look like. The
Hardboiled Fairy made me do it.

The Right to Remain Silent

As always, let the author know what you think, let us know what you think and give us your suggestions for after the movie.

I've never really liked post The Truth stories like this, where Mulder and Scully are so terribly detached. I feel like, they only have each other now, and they've been longing for each other for a year. They wouldn't just go all cold like this, I think. I just want them to at least have something to be relatively happy about, you know? To have at least one person in this world to love, and to be loved by in return.

Apart from that personal preference of mine, this one is absolutely beautifully written. It pulls at the heartstrings.
