Though Khyber is a major favorite, this is not my favorite of his vignettes. It's very vignettish: too much innner tantrum, not enough dialogue, too much analysis, not enough action. But that's okay. Khyber gets at more love and lust and confusion in his character studies than most writers get into novels.

Plus, I guess explaining is the post-ep's raison d'etre. So forget I spoke.

Wendelah isn't kidding, Sokol is a MASTERPIECE. It's so mind-blowing that I almost got the feeling--for a while, anyway--that there's no point going on with fanfic reading as it's been rendered passe and beside the point. But my personal favorite is the "Home from the War" and "Where I End and You Begin" duo. It's very mysterious and science-fictional as well as heartbreakingly romantic.

Unusual guy.
