2x01: Little Green Men

From the same team that gave us "Ice," next up is "Little Green Men," another early season gem. Scully engineers a covert meeting with Mulder in a parking garage. We finally get our first glimpse of an extraterrestrial biological entity, and are introduced to Mulder's longtime ally in Congress, Senator Richard Matheson.

Writer: Glen Morgan and James Wong
Director: David Nutter
Originally aired: September 16, 1994

Synopsis: The X-Files are shut down, with Mulder put on wiretap duty and Scully sent back to Quantico. Mulder gets a tip from Senator Matheson that something important is going down in at an abandoned NASA observatory in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Mulder goes AWOL and heads to Arecibo. To no one's surprise, Scully figures out where he's headed and goes after him.

Most Memorable Quote:
Scully: And you're worried that all your life, you've been seeing elves?
Mulder: In my case... little green men.
Scully: But, Mulder... during your time with the X-Files, you've seen so much.
Mulder: That's just the point. Seeing is not enough, I should have something to hold onto. Some solid evidence. I learned that from you.
