Is there a story that you would like to discuss? Do you want to talk about some of the classics of the genre, like "Iolokus" or "Parabiosis"? Do you want to pick shorter stories, so that we can fit in more variety? Do you like casefiles? Character studies? The possibilities are endless.

Nominate your choices here, and support the nominations for other stories that interest you. Once we have a few suggestions, I'll try to draw up a schedule that suits everyone.

I'm always curious how not-slashers react to slash stories. maybe I'll get a glimpse of that?

Yup! Should be interesting. I have already read the story, so am definitely looking forward to talking about it next week! :)

I have read it before. It seemed pretty explicit to me, which I think would make it NC17. I would post it as such, but use your own judgment. Maybe I don't understand the concept as applied to fiction.

Yeah, it looks NC-17 to me as well. So I will mention that this is the rating I would assign, while making it clear that this is my own estimate. Sound like a plan?

That sounds good to me. I have a couple of slash recs, too. I occasionally read slash, but I feel the same way about explicit sex in slash, as I do in MSR. Sex is fine as long as it is very brief. Long-winded descriptions of sex acts are boring to me. It is really difficult to write in a way that advances characterization. Too often the descriptions turn clinical. Then, I start laughing. It ruins the mood.
