I needed a smile today, and Night Watch, 8675 words, a crossover with Torchwood, really delivered on the humour front. The screenplay-style format is perfect for light reading, accentuating the lovely banter and the comedic-yet-sexy storytelling in the fic. It contains Skinner/Jack, Mulder/Ianto, Tosh/Langly and Jack/Ianto.

The Torchwood team arrives in DC looking for a Very Dangerous Alien Device, a delightful premise that the author exploits with skill and grace. Everyone is perfectly in character, and the Mulder/Ianto has a lot of chemistry as well as being surprisingly tender, while the Skinner/Jack is just plain hot.
