It's funny but I could have sworn we'd already read and discussed this fic. And maybe we have but I couldn't find it in the discussion posts.

I really enjoyed the sparse language of this fic, there's a certain chill that ekes through the short sentences and matter-of-fact description. The writing style reminds me in some ways of "Undone" by August. It's certainly angsty, but in a way I haven't encountered with X-Files fics. A commenter on the post said "I don't even know what to call half the emotions this evokes," and I agree. It's an odd little gem of a story which was very vivid in my mind as I read it.
