She's a very talented writer. I guess I'm not seeing the negative reactions here as being to the story so much as to the idea of Mulder being in a defacto marriage with his sister. For me, it was also disturbing to think of him being on the on the run for years, separated from Scully and William.
I think it is a very memorable story, too. I'm glad you found it and found us.
