I thought "This Is Not Love" was hot but no more "in character" than this was. I think for many people, myself included, the show itself was so depressing that reading (or writing) the occasional fluffy story is a welcome change. So many bad things have already happened to Mulder and Scully. Can't the fic writers just let them have a little fun?
