As you will know, at
xf_book_club we pick a new story every week (or so). What this means is that we tend to focus on stories that take a full week to read and discuss--in other words, longish stories.
Well, we think it's time for a change. There are lots of great vignettes and short pieces in the X-Files fandom, and they deserve their due as well.
So... we're planning something that for lack of a better term I'm calling Short Story Week. It will be a week (or so) where we discuss a different short story every day. But first we need your suggestions! Bring us drabbles, vignettes, one-shots, anything as long as it's the sort of manageable length that you can read in one easy sitting.

Date: 2008-03-30 01:17 am (UTC)While I've got whimsy on the brain, I'd strongly recommend Oil (http://www.iyam-fic.com/ratales/oil.html) by Eodrakken Quicksilver. One of the most unique fics I've come across. I have a very small folder of saved fics, but both of these are in it.
