Is there a story that you would like to discuss? Do you want to talk about some of the classics of the genre, like "Iolokus" or "Parabiosis"? Do you want to pick shorter stories, so that we can fit in more variety? Do you like casefiles? Character studies? The possibilities are endless.

Nominate your choices here, and support the nominations for other stories that interest you. Once we have a few suggestions, I'll try to draw up a schedule that suits everyone.

I had forgotten that you were the person who recced Arizona Highways. I would not categorize it as happy fic. It was a serious casefile, a masterpiece, and the best, well, you read all the crap I said about it. So, the angst is okay with you as long as you get your happy ending. I get the picture now. The funny thing is, I can easily imagine that novel ending very differently, and I would still have loved it. Without that ending, you wouldn't even have recced it, I bet. Well, I am not reading for the MSR happy endings. You probably figured that out already, huh? I hope you are having fun here anyway. And Bridge is a good recommendation.

*LOL* Did you see my comments in Dasha's post on the subject? hehe. It's been something I've been pondering a lot lately, how to classify my "genre" of fic. And I think it is a strange mixture. Because yes, I fall for your stereotypical MSR happy ending. But my favorite fics are ones where you have to go through some heavy angst to get there (thus, my adoration of
Arizona Highways
).

I appreciate that we all have different preferences, and I know mine is...limited. ;) I do love coming here and discussing all the good fic, because regardless of whether it is my "type" or not, it is all quality stuff.

I don't know that I did see your comments at [livejournal.com profile] dashafic. I will go check them out tomorrow. Tonight, I am going to bed. I am glad you are enjoying the discussions here. We are supposed to be having fun, right?
